HERD SIRESHerd sires are a critical element of any good breeding programme. At Thistledown we have males with genetics from Peru, USA and Austalia specifically the Accoyo and Allianza lines. Our foundation male NGG Ferrari was a son of the famous Uribe and he was very important in establishing colour, uniformity of micron and lustre in our herd. While our focus is on breeding high quality black suri, fibre is our passion and we recognise that fibre improvement is very important for black suri. We have chosen to do this through the use of high quality fawn fibre males. |
