Indigo is a compact female with excellent substance of bone. Although not fine (28µ) she has excellent density and beautiful lustre which saw her win often in the show ring including AANZ National show 2014, 1st black junior female and reserve champion black and AANZ National show 2015 1st intermediate black female.

She has proven to be an excellent birther and mother raising her first cria well. Titanium is an Oscuro son and has inherited his sires fine fleece quality with 18.9 µ and 4.4 SD in his first fleece.

Tamarind is a very dark brown/black female. She has an excellent frame with good lustre to her medium micron fleece. Her full brother Thistledown Othello won black champion at the AANZ National Show 2015. She has not been shown as she did not have the density of her brother. Her sire Canchones Marlborough ET has had many show winning progeny and her dam is sired by Thistledown Zanzibar, who has produced some of Thistledown's best producing dams.

Marakesh is a bay black young female with a good frame, is well grown and had a very greasy fleece as a youngster. She has excellent Accoyo genetics on both sides of her pedigree. One grandsire on her dam line is Surico Onedin who carries a very dense, lustrous fine fleece and is a multi-supreme winning male. The other grandsire is ILRNGG Ferrari (son of the famous Uribe) from the USA. Her sire Thistledown Zanzibar, also by Ferrari is the sire of some of Thistledown's best producing females.

Lotus is a well conformed female with strong bone and a good frame. She is a black-skinned fawn and although by two fawns has produced three black cria to her matings to black males. Her first cria Larkspur was successfully shown and has been exported to the UK. Her 2nd cria Iris has also had success in the show ring and we have retained her in the Thistledown herd. Her current cria Satchmo is developing into a lovely young male who is showing promise. 

Lotus is an excellent breeder and mother who feeds her cria well. As we have had daughters from her and now a wee boy we are able to release her from our herd.
